IPV®-2C

The IPV®-2C is designed specifically for non-continuous institutional/hospital use. The IPV®-2C is a high-frequency, flow-regulated, time-cycled ventilator that provides TRUE-IPV® therapy, a modality of mechanical ventilation,
“Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation” (IPV®). IPV®-2C provides high-frequency percussive pulses between 60-330 pulses per minute. These high-frequency percussive pulses ramify throughout the airways and alveolar ducts to augment diffusive ventilation in the gas exchange regions of the lung. This allows improved FRC, CO₂ removal, airway clearance, and lung recruitment. IPV®-2C can also be used in-line with conventional mechanical ventilators, delivering TRUE-IPV® therapy and alleviating the need to switch between different devices
May benefit patients with the following conditions:
- COPD
- Asthma
- Atelectasis
- Pneumonia
- Premature Lungs
- Bronchitis
Pulmonary complications of:
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Alpha-1
- SMA
- ALS
Benefits
- Restores FRCR
- Reduces time in the ICU
- Reduces oxygen need at discharge from NICU
- Improves Oxygenation and reduces PaCO2
- Provides better management of COPD
exacerbations - Reduces nosocomial infection
- Improves airway clearance
- Lung recruitment by treating atelectasis
- Demand CPAP

THE PERCUSSIONAIRE®
BRONCHOTRON®

This proven therapeutic lung recruitment and stabilization ventilator employs the percussive higher frequency sinsoidal respiration logic conceived by Dr. Forrest Bird in the 1980’s, thus enabling professional, civil, or military cardiopulmonary clinicians to ventilate any neonatal, pediatric, or adult lung “capable of being mechanically ventilated invasively or non-invasively.”
THE PHASITRON®

The Phasitron®, patented open-circuit technology, makes Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV®) possible. From intensive care to home care, all Percussionaire® devices use a Phasitron® to safely and precisely provide lung expansion, secretion clearance, and oxygen for a variety of conditions, applications, and patient populations.
Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV®) is possible because of the patented device called the Phasitron® by Percussionaire. The Phasitron® uniquely protects the lung from over pressure by automatically adjusting to the resistance of the lung. Doing
Pulsatile Flow
The pulmonary flow created by the Phasitron® is known as Pulsatile Flow which bathes the alveoli in fresh oxygenated air while gently washing out CO2 and secretions.
Airway Clearance
Flow Ventilation® is a Pulsatile Flow that mobilizes and removes mucus and debris, while gently recruiting alveoli and restoring FRC. Unlike external percussion that may push secretions deeper into the lung, the Pulsatile Flow continues to dislodge debris and secretions which are carried out by the exiting airflow.
Lung Recruitment
Over time, TRUE-IPV® therapy gently persuades distal airways and collapsed alveoli to open which keeps lung supported and respiring while atelectasis, infection, inflammation, and injury can heal.
VDR®-4

Designed specifically for hospital use, the Volumetric Diffusive Respirator
unit (VDR®-4) is a flow-regulated and time-cycled ventilator which provides high-frequency
percussive ventilation (HFPV). The Phasitron® breathing circuit delivers HFPV and interfaces with
hospital humidification systems.
May benefit patients with the following conditions:
- ARDS (Including H1N1)
- Atelectasis
- Pneumonia
- Pre-ECMO patients
- Burns
- NICU patients
- PICU patients
- Adult patients (including bariatric)
Pulmonary complications of:
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Alpha-1
- SMA
- ALS
- Burns
Benefits
- Improves outcomes for patients on ECMO
- Ventilates patients failing other modes of ventilation
- Restores FRC and may reduce need for ECMO
- Assists with weaning from ECMO
- Improves Oxygenation and reduces PaCO2
- Improves airway clearance (such as
meconium) - May be used non invasively, particularly in the NICU
